A Vision Takes Shape
Farley Flex founded Plasma Management & Productions in Toronto with a singular mission: to give extraordinary talent the platform it deserved. At a time when hip-hop was still emerging as a cultural force in Canada, Farley recognised its power — and Plasma was built to harness it.
Canada's First Platinum Hip-Hop Artist
Plasma's management of Maestro Fresh-Wes led to the landmark achievement of Canada's first platinum hip-hop recording. 'Let Your Backbone Slide' became a cultural touchstone, and Plasma's reputation as a builder of careers — not just a handler of talent — was firmly established.
Shaping Canadian Media
Plasma's reach expanded far beyond music management. As a media consulting powerhouse, Farley and the Plasma team became instrumental in launching Canada's first Black-owned commercial radio stations, including FLOW 93.5 — a milestone that transformed Canadian broadcasting.
Expanding into Television
Building on its radio consulting success, Plasma moved into television advisory — consulting on the launch of Afroglobal Television and FEVA TV, Canada's first Black-owned television stations. The Plasma name became synonymous with firsts.
The Next Chapter
Plasma continues to evolve. With a diverse roster spanning music, sports, acting, and media, plus the groundbreaking Plicketz Platform connecting performers to global audiences, Plasma enters its fourth decade more ambitious than ever — and more committed to its community.
